Scope of type approval Non-combustible pipes for piping installations handling non-flammable liquids and non-flammable gases (except ventilation pipes), for pneumatic tube systems (transmission tubes) or for dust extraction pipes. The prevention of fire spread with the media handled has not been demonstrated with this type approval. Adequate measures must be taken to prevent fire spread. Non-combustible pipes made from steel, stainless steel and cast steel, and pipes made from copper, with outside pipe diameters of up to 88.9 mm and pipe wall thicknesses between 1.0 mm and 14.2 mm (for fields of application, insulation lengths and thicknesses, and pipe diagrams, see test certificate (AbP) No. P-3031/1264-MPA BS).
