All products and systems supplied by ZAPP-ZIMMERMANN GmbH have been developed in our own company. Before these products and systems are launched and offered to our customers, they have to pass various material and component tests which are performed by accredited testing laboratories.

Our products will not obtain type approval until all results have fully met the requirements set forth in the relevant regulations and standards. the aim of structural member tests is to demonstrate that a product can be used under a wide range of practical applications. Nevertheless on-site situations, in particular for building refurbishments, can differ from those specified in type approvals (e.g. larger penetration seal sizes, installation in special types of walls, seals for larger pipes...).

Since we have developed all our systems oursleves, we have acquired vast technical expertise and can assess the reaction of construction materials and members to the fire with a high degree of accuracy. This enables us to assess any deviations and to offer our experts support in solving your particular problem.

If our proposal meets with your approval, you can have this proposal assessed in an expert opinion drawn up by a materials testing institute or independent expert.

When also calling in the supreme construction supervisory authority of your federal state, the expert opinion can be used as a basis to obtain approval for an individual case of deviation.

this procedure will help you avoid delays when a final inspection approval is withheld or cost-intensive corrective engineering is required, and you can be sure that your building will be safe in the event of a fire.

Development

the large number of construction materials and construction products we have developed to the present day, and our vast experience with intumescent materials, enable us to develop structural fire-engineering solutions for components and special applications.

Components and materials can be developed and produced as customized solutions on the basis of specifications we have prepared together with our customers.

ZAPP-ZIMMERMANN GmbH products and materials are in use in various members also outside the direct field of cable and pipe penetration seals.
